Weather Forecasts and Tour Safety – Stingray City Cayman Islands
At Stingray City Cayman Islands Ltd., we do our very best to provide our guests with the most accurate and up-to-date weather forecasts to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Being located in the Caribbean, we experience tropical weather conditions that can change within minutes. Although we closely monitor weather forecasts and provide updates based on hourly predictions, weather conditions can develop or change unexpectedly, sometimes with very little warning.
Thunderstorms and Tour Cancellations
Thunderstorms can develop rapidly over the ocean, particularly during the months of July through February. These storms may bring lightning, heavy rainfall, strong winds, and changing sea conditions, which can result in tour delays, rescheduling, or cancellations.
For the safety of our guests and crew, we do not operate tours when thunderstorms with lightning activity are detected within 10 miles of our planned tour locations. This safety policy is strictly observed, and tours may be suspended or cancelled when weather conditions present a potential danger.
