Botanical Gardens

Visit some of Cayman's Exotic Reptiles in their natural habitat.

The first stop on the tour is at the Botanical Gardens in North Side. Guests will have the opportunity to capture images close up of one of the rarest iguanas. The Botanical Gardens are the home of Cayman's Blue Iguanas, with a year-round breeding program in support of increasing the number of iguanas introduced to the wild.

Beach Stop

Spend a few minutes at one of Cayman's most prestine beaches collecting sea shells for your memories of the Cayman Islands.

Colliers Beach in East End is one of Cayman's most secluded beaches with little development impacting the pristine view. Guests can take in the view while collecting a few memories on the shore. Various seashells can be collected with sand in small containers provided for a lifetime of memories.

Pedro St. James

Cayman's first Governor's Home and Guard House during the 1800's.

Built in 1780 on the Southern side of Grand Cayman, Pedro St. James was the venue for a meeting on 5 December,1831 where the decision was made to form the first elected parliament. The Cayman equivalent of a European Castle, and commonly referred to as Pedro “Castle”, by many locals, has endured a long history of fires and hurricanes in the Cayman Islands.

Wreck of the Ten Sails

Stand on a forty foot cliff and overlook the ocean where one of Cayman's largest ship wrecks took place.

Wreck of the Ten Sails is a historic Royal Navy Shipwreck event that occurred off the Eastern End of Grand Cayman on February 8, 1794. The Cayman Islands have since enjoyed being tax free due to the heroic actions of locals in saving the crew and some of the ships content.

Rum Cake Factory

Sample some of Cayman's best tasting cake and rum at the main factory on North Sound Road, George Town.

See how some of the Caribbean's best Rum Cakes are made and have a sample while you are at it. During your visit to the Rum Cake Factory, guests will have the opportunity to watch and learn how some of Cayman's best known rum cakes are made. Duty free purchase of cake and rum can be made from within store during visit.

Return to Port Terminal

Shuttle returns to George Town with option to end tour at one of the Plazas surrunding the Port with access to souvenirs.

Upon conclusion of the tour, passengers will be returned to the George Town Port or local Resort. The estimated drive from the last stop to George Town is 10 minutes. During the drive passengers can ask questions relating to the tour and obtain additional information on locations visited.

About the tour

The Cayman Islands consist of many historical locations, some dating back to the 18th century. The eastern districts of Grand Cayman consist of the first inhabitants on the islands, along with some of the earliest shipwrecks.

Eastern District Island Tour provides an insight into the Cayman Islands' history, culture, and way of life. Our Island Sightseeing Tour consists of well-known and historical sights during a 4.0 hours long excursion. Entrance fees included in the cost of the tour. This is a group tour with a maximum capacity of 14 passengers and is guided by a local Caymanian with knowledge of history and culture. Larger groups over 14 can also be accommodated upon email request.
